I purchased an expensive ECU for my Jeep, and the agent assured me it was a plug-and-play unit. However, when I got home, it didn't work. I was informed by the company that second-hand electronics don't come with a warranty, but this ECU didn’t work from the beginning. I took it to a company specializing in ECU repairs on the same day, and they told me it couldn't even be fixed. I'm convinced that advertising a product as working and selling it as such, when it doesn't work at all, is against the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of 2008.
