I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with RK's Simply Vegetarian's takeout service, which left me feeling both frustrated and deeply hurt. Unfortunately, the issues I encountered were not just related to poor customer service, but also seemed to involve **************. When I called to place my order, I was met with a dismissive and impatient attitude from the staff member who answered the phone. It felt like I was inconveniencing them by simply wanting to order food. I tried to brush it off, thinking maybe they were just having a bad day. However, things only got worse when I went to pick up my order. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I noticed that other customers were being greeted warmly and promptly attended to. In contrast, I was barely acknowledged and had to wait significantly longer for my order, even though I arrived at the designated pickup time. The staff seemed indifferent and unwelcoming, which was disheartening. The most upsetting part of my experience was the subtle yet clear discriminatory behavior. As an African individual, I couldn't help but feel that I was being treated differently. This was evident in the way the staff interacted with me compared to other patrons. It was not just about the slow service but the general lack of respect and courtesy that was evident. Restaurants, including their takeout services, should be welcoming and inclusive for everyone, regardless of race or background. Unfortunately, my experience with RK's Simply Vegetarian was far from that. It's incredibly disheartening to experience such treatment in this day and age. I hope the management at RK's Simply Vegetarian takes this feedback seriously and works towards providing better customer service and ensuring a **************-free environment for all customers. No one should have to feel unwelcome or less valued because of their race. I will not be returning to this establishment and cannot, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone else. I sincerely hope they take steps to address these issues and improve their service.
