Genuinely do not even bother. If you have any internet problems, expect to not be able to reach support anywhere. Not via phone and certainly not via logging a ticket on email. Whenever I have the luck of reaching them, I'd like to cancel my contract (regardless of the costs) and rather have no internet.
My mother's policy has not been serviced since August 2025 despite going for the required tests. Her financial advisor has not spoken to her, responded to any of her messages or calls. I have submitted a formal complaint and since acknowledging the receipt of my complaint, nothing has happened. A policy pending servicing for more than 6 months is unheard of and I am not sure what is expected to happen should her untimely death take place during this period. I am deeply frustrated
Pineapple Insurance was requested by my father to give me a call and either register me as a registered driver for an Opel or transfer the insurance for the particular Opel to me. He gave them my contact details. They indeed gave me a call, I accepted to take on a policy instead as the premium was lower for me than my dad. After all the quoting and underwriting was done, I also provided debit order details and payment arrangement date and agreed to taking on a policy. I was requested to get the app and that I will get a pre-inspection notification on the app and policy details will load on my profile. A pro rata fee was charged and indeed it showed on my statement. None of that happened nor did I receive a Welcome Pack//Policy Schedule. I then called to find out what happened and we discovered that the Opel was cancelled from my father's policy and changed his payment arrangement details to mine instead. The car unfortunately stopped starting and upon claiming (which I and my father are entitled to), we were told it is cancelled therefore we cannot claim but I am aware of the 31 day period where a car is still covered upon cancellation. On top of that there was no will or initiative to correct the matter, I have had to insist. I have not received any feedback from Pineapple regarding the policy or anything related to the mistake they made. I would not recommend Pineapple as it appears they scapegoat via blaming their sales consultants not being knowledgeable enough.
