Disappointed runner

I am utterly disappointed by my experience. I had so much hope after many people in the running communities suggested a visit to them to give you the best fit of shoe. Running shoes are expensive and hence an important decision to make. The shoes I was recommended have been a disaster - I got injuries, had to see a podiatrist which was that the shoes were aggravating any underlying pronation I had. The worst part- I sent several emails and phones calls to follow up on my complaint but there was no response or contact from the business. This was even after confirming electronically the email address it was sent to.
