Best service ever received from Mr Masondo who assisted us at Pretoria Moot police station, thank you
We’ve previously had a wonderful experience with their hamburgers at de Vreugd, which is why the five of us were excited to return for dinner on Friday evening. However, this time the food didn’t meet the expectations set by our previous visit.. Both the hamburgers and chicken schnitzel were very disappointing. The hamburger meat was mushy and lacked the proper texture, after the first bite we couldn't finish them, while the schnitzel was also very dry. The mushroom sauce, which we expected to enhance the meal, was with no mushroom flavor at all, making it hard to enjoy. We understand that sometimes things may not go perfectly – it’s possible the chef was having an off day. That said, because dining out is a treat for many, we were hoping for the same high standard that we experienced before, especially at the price point. We wanted to share this feedback in hopes that it might help improve consistency in the future. While this experience wasn’t what we expected, we know that de Vreugd has the potential to deliver excellent meals, and we hope that our comments can contribute to that.
If I could, I would give SASSA Head Office in Pretoria a minus zero-star review. It was the most unhelpful and disgusting service ever. They treat you like ****, so incredibly rude it's indescribable. We went to the Pretoria office to apply for a disability Grant for my eldest son. The gentleman, if you can even call him that!, was extremely rude. He handed us papers that had been copied so many times that you couldn't even read them properly. He didn’t even look up and, in a rude tone, shoved the papers at us and said, 'You can't apply. Come back when your son is out of the institution.' What would it have cost him to respond to us in a civil manner, and just explained to us what we can do next? I don’t understand how such people are appointed to these positions when there are so many friendly people out there who are desperately looking for work. It’s mind-boggling. Shame on you! It brings the whole department down."
A Bright Star Shining in South Africa's Healthcare System: The "Oral and Dental Hospital" at the University of Pretoria Amid the challenges currently facing many public institutions in South Africa, the Oral and Dental Hospital at the University of Pretoria stands as a beacon of excellence and hope. This facility not only meets but exceeds expectations, setting a standard for what all public services can achieve when dedication to the people is prioritized. It is a shining example of how government institutions can uplift our country’s standards, offering top-tier care while focusing on the well-being of South Africans rather than exploitation or self-enrichment. Here is my story: after hearing numerous negative stories about public institutions, I was quite scared to visit in the first place. However, I was desperate and in excruciating pain, so I had no choice. My visit for a tooth extraction began at 5:50 a.m. Despite being number 21 in line, the process was smooth and well-organized. Upon arrival, I provided my details, and the staff assessed my needs before directing me to the next step. Once seen by the dentist, I received a thorough scan, and clear instructions on the next steps—all handled with great professionalism. After the consultation, I went to the file room, where the staff processed my information. Payment is based on income, ensuring accessibility for everyone—a mere R90 for those with no income. Afterward, I had my X-rays taken and was soon directed to the treatment room. By 9:00 a.m., my tooth was extracted. The learning dentist was very caring and patient with me. The service was excellent, and the environment was so clean and neat. I found the hospital to be well-organized, friendly, and efficient, especially considering the small amount of money paid. To give you an idea: last year, I went to a private dentist and paid R900 for a single tooth extraction. So, well done, Oral and Dental Hospital at the University of Pretoria! Full stars to all of you striving to uplift our country's standards and services for the general public. May others follow your lead and strive for a better South Africa.
