Sotheby's agent (Lizelle Smuts) goes above and beyond to secure your business. Unfortunately, once signed on as a client, the service received is incredibly poor. Landlord needs are not prioritized but rather what's best for Sotheby's commission.
Only rating 1-star as I cannot rate 0-star! The worst relocation company that anyone would ever experience. They are incredibly skillful salesmen, offering discounts and willing to better any quote that you receive from other relocation companies. However once payment is made, this flows down the drain. They find ways to impose additional fees thereafter (e.g. sending wrong vehicle for pick-up and insisting on additional shuttle charge). Once they have your belongings, the service is shocking and they take full advantage. They stop all communication, out of the 98 items on our inventory, 58 items were left in Johannesburg (we relocated to Cape Town). They did not inform us of this. They were meant to deliver on a Saturday at 9:00am, they arrived at 17:30pm and this was only when we were told our items were left in Johannesburg. They stated the remaining items will be delivered on Monday at 17:00pm, it arrived at 20:30pm (off loading ended at 21:30pm and I was a lady alone at home). Items were missing, boxes were damaged, items were damaged and broken. Through it all, the staff had rude, unprofessional and shocking behaviour - Thembisile, Emmanuel, Tendai, Elvis and Abel. All the staff were horribly rude and when requesting a superior's or legal contact, I was flat out ignored. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM! THEY MAY BE CHEAPER BUT THE EXPERIENCE IS SHOCKINGLY PATHETIC AND LEAVES YOU WONDERING IF ALL YOUR BELONGINGS HAS BEEN ******. Ignore any good reviews that you may see, this is probably a few out of the MANY that they have disappointed severely.
