Let's start at the beginning... Phoned in first thing Friday morning with a powertrain malfunction on my Ecosport. Phoned Consolidated Auto and no service agents were avaialble. I was promised a follow up. 11am phoned again as no one has called me 3 hours later. This time I was put through to a mechanic who barely had a clue how the booking system works. 3rd call for the day happened around 13:30 which was met with 'no one is available to take the call'. After this I decided to simply go see them as the telephone service was a tragidy. Once there I was told it is as easy as dropping the car off and waiting 3-5 business days for a diagnostic on why my car has given the malfunction. Lovely right? Fast forward to 9 business days and I have had to phone them 15 times and yet to get an answer on what is wrong with my vehicle. Fast forward to 14 business days(Nearly 3 weeks without my car) I get an email in my inbox, not even a follow up call to explain, to tell me that they have NO CLUE what is causing the malfunction and a quote for R140 000 and a recommendation to replace my whole engine. I respectfully declined the quote and asked for the R5500 invoice for diagnostics. This too took 3 days to be sent to me. Once I had my car I took it to a competitor who worked on these engines and got the problem sorted out for a staggering R27 000. The service is **** poor, and they think they can **** unknowing clients. I urge anyone to thinking of supporting this place to turn the other way. Support Toyota.
