Car Care Clinic Sunninghill (Joburg) DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE
Car Care Clinic Sunninghill (Joburg) A horrifying experience at Car Care Sunninghill. My vehicle was a 2019 Mini Countryman JCW just bought from webuycar was taken there to do a full checkup and repair, list of items on the invoice was completed. Upon return of the vehicle, It was obvious to me that when the clock spring was replaced, the steering wheel was not putted back properly, leather wasnt tucked in, hoot was loose. So I asked them to re-do the steering wheel assumbly, and they did it though wasnt perfect. My front brake pad was also replaced when they still had more than half of the life span. So I obviously lost trust with them and their work on the car. 3 weeks later, I experienced a constant hooting from my horn whenever I press down my brake paddle, throttle paddle, the car was literally impossible to drive on public road without disturbing others. I quickly approached insurance for a roadside assistance to transport the Car to Gorilla Pit Garage (In Fourways) for a repair on the hoot. As soon as they remove the steering wheel airbag they noticed that some of the clips on the thing was broken, and there was a spring missing (there suppose to be 4, so that it doesnt touch the hoot). They managed to find a spare spring and fitted it to the steering wheel airbag unit, the hoot was fixed. I was charged R900 for an hour of labour and inspection. I went back to Car Care Sunninghill for a compensation of R900, and they refused to talk about it without me present during working hour, I suggested zoom meeting or telephonic meeting, they gave no response. There was a second chance given on the assumbly of the steering wheel airbag, I was charged R1920 for the replacement of clock spring, and they not only displayed poor workmanship but showed little concern for customer satisfiction. I will approach consumer protection institution for my R900, I believe my shared experience will have some significance in the long run to those of you looking for automobile service in Sunninghill and Paulshof area. You are welcome.
