On delivery of products that were ordered online I noticed that not only were the seals on the parcel broken, but the products inside were also opened (foundation & perfume). I immediately notified Estee Lauder SA that the products have been tampered with and sent them pictures thereof. In response they offered me a 20% discount on a future purchase. This was not acceptable to me as it does not address my concern about the R3,000 worth of products ordered and delivered, and I notified Estee Lauder SA thereof in writing on 6 April 2023. I also completed and returned the signed ReturnProduct document request as requested by them. After numerous follow-up emails and not getting any response whatsoever, I have now after 3 weeks been notified that the products will be collected sometime in the next 30 days. They will then finalize their internal process and only thereafter refund my money. This can take up to 30 days after completing their report. I responded that this was not good enough, but (not surprising) they have yet to respond. In the meantime I am out of pocket (my order was for more than R3,000) and I don’t have any products. Estee Lauder simply do not care. I have been using Estee Lauder for more that 35 years and will never ever buy any Estee Lauder company products again.
I reserved 3 specific rooms (2 of which are linked as we travel with 8 and 10 yrs old girls) for 9/1/16. The reservation was made by phone, confirmed by e-mail and paid for in full in July 2015. I confirmed the reservation again by e-mail on 14/12/15 and received a response from the owner that according to their books the reservation was for 8/1/2016 and not 9/1. I immediately responded with copies of the original e-mails and proof of payment, which referenced the date of stay. The owner then reassured me that everything was resolved. When we arrived at 19h00 on the evening of the 9/1/16 we were not pleased to find out that our original reservation was changed so that we and the girls now had to share one small bedroom. When we objected to the room and asked for the rooms that we specifically reserved (we stayed their in the past) we were met with a belligerent owner who attacked us for thinking that we had a right to reserve specific rooms (although this was not mentioned when I made the reservation). She was very aggressive, unapologetic and blamed being short of staff for the problem. An unreliable hotel and belligerent owner is not what one needs after a long day on the road.
