I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this company to do thorough research beforehand. In my experience, they will delay any necessary formalities for as long as possible if it means holding on to any benefits or payments owed. Proceed with caution.
I phoned in to Mweb after numerous attempts and eventually managed to speak to a person when selecting a diffirent option than the actual reason I was calling who eventually transferred me to the correct person. During the conversation when I advised I wanted to cancel my contract as I was moving and no longer required Mweb service she advised that there is a one month's cancellation period, I informed her that I had previously submitted a notice to cancel my contract via email. I forwarded the email sent the previous month advising of my cancellation, to which I have had no acknowledgement. Regrettably, her demeanor was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful; she spoke over me and insisted that I must listen to her before expressing my concerns. It is disheartening to face such hostility when attempting to exercise my rights as a customer. Additionally, I would like to raise the inefficiencies of the Mweb call-in system. I have experienced prolonged hold times, only to have the call drop unexpectedly. Furthermore, when selecting alternative options, I have often been directed to representatives who, after acknowledging my concern, assure me that they will transfer me to the appropriate department—only for the call to drop again.
