Such a great airline! flew 4 sectors with my wife and 3 young children and we were treated like royalty on all 4 flights. The staff were all so helpful and lovely, the aircraft seating config was spacious and the food was awesome! lots of extras too! the ground staff were incredible and helped us with a ticket issue we had. If given the option I will always fly with Singapore Airlines!
We purchased flight tickets from New Zealand to south Africa and all was fine until we realized 4 days before we were travelling that Gotogate had messed up my daughters name and placed her middle name as her surname. I spent 4 full days on the phone with them, Singapore, airlines and air New Zealand trying to get this sorted out. Gotogate were the only ones who could fix the issue which they then blamed on Singapore Airlines not getting back to them for 4 days. We arrived at the airport 6 hours early to try and remedy the issue and was on the phone with go to gate again for hours at the airport who did nothing to help. We were very lucky to have a fantastic Singapore Airlines staff member call in huge favours with Singapore Airlines head office to re-issue all 4 flight sector tickets. this happened at the last minute and we almost missed the flight meaning we would have had to pay for a full set of flight tickets for my daughter and also a full set of flight tickets for th 2 flight sectors for NZ to SA. Be aware of go to gate as if there is an error on your ticket you are *****ed and they are less than helpful. I am still waiting for numerous promised calls back from supervisors. I will never use them again for anything ever!
