I am writing this review with genuine sadness and deep disappointment. As a returning guest who has stayed at this hotel multiple times with my family (my husband and toddler), I used to have high expectations. Unfortunately, over the last year, the value and quality of the experience have plummeted. My last three stays, including the most recent one last night, have been pathetic and demonstrate a serious decline in basic maintenance and service standards. ❌ Pattern of Failure: Last Year's Nightmare Stay During a stay last year, we booked a higher-end room only to be put through a completely exhausting and unacceptable ordeal. We returned to our room to find no hot water. After a maintenance attempt failed, we were moved to a new room hours later. We had to move all our belongings, including a cot for our child, only to discover the air conditioning did not work in the middle of summer. After another failed maintenance visit, we were finally moved to a Presidential Suite around 11:00 PM, effectively ruining our evening. By that point, we were so exhausted all we could do was bathe and sleep. A significant portion of our stay was wasted just moving rooms. 🤢 A Health and Safety Concern: My Recent Stay My most recent stay was absolutely horrible and presented a potential health and safety concern for my family. When we went to bathe, the shower drain was backing up black guck and holding water. We were forced to stand and shower in this black dirt with a toddler, which I do not consider safe or hygienic. We reported the issue, and a manager finally sent maintenance 45 minutes later. While they plunged the drain, the black residue was left coating the bathtub. We could not use the tub and ultimately had to abandon our plans for the day and rush home just to bathe, completely ruining our planned day out. 🎁 Special Occasion Ruined by Poor Organization Adding insult to injury, we were also delayed at check-in, as our room was not ready at the official check-in time. My husband had booked a special set-up for my birthday, but because the hotel could not get our assigned room ready and had to switch us, the special arrangements were completely missed. 🛑 Summary When a hotel is constantly failing on fundamental amenities like working plumbing, functional air conditioning, and basic cleanliness, it shows a complete lack of commitment to guest comfort and maintenance. After multiple disappointing stays, I cannot recommend this hotel and will be looking for alternative accommodations for my future visits. The pattern of issues here is simply unacceptable for a hotel with these prices and previous reputation.
I could give this insurance a 0/10. Absolutely pathetic service as well as rude customer care. We would think they would make our lives easier but clearly not! My husband met an accident a few weeks ago however we didn’t know we needed to add car hire on separately as we are new to this. We then find out that we have to and we did so 2 agents told us that as long as we add it on before the claim it car hire should be possible however the person dealing with my claim says no and on two different emails explains why with two different reasons. I’ve spoken to people who had similar incidents as me without car hire with their insurance and they sure did help them out even if it meant them paying two instalments. Definitely will be looking into an insurance like that ! Something that will help me and make my life easier! In time of need. On top of that they have yearly increases! So my Premium as well as my excess has increased and my excess is now sitting at 12k for services that they “offer”
