I was deceived by DC Outsourcing after speaking to an agent who offered me debt relief. Without my approval or signed consent, their accounts department contacted ABSA and had all my bank accounts cancelled. I was never informed that this would happen. This caused me serious inconvenience and distress. Their conduct is *********, unprofessional, and unacceptable. To make matters worse, the debt counsellor assigned to me was extremely rude and refused to transfer my call so that I could speak to a manager or supervisor. I also sent an email to their offices and received no response. I am extremely disappointed with their service and would strongly warn others to be very careful before dealing with this company.
I ensured my car with Discovery ensure from October 2024. My premium is R1800, to round it up. Last of last week my car stopped working and was towed to my house, by a towing company that my husband knew and was reasonably priced than the amount of extra km I was quoted by Discovery ensure. Last week, I called discovery ensure to assist me with towing the car to the workshop to get it fixed. The towing company that was dispatched arrived with a towing truck. The truck could not access my yard because of the bridge above my gate …. They left because they couldn’t access the car and also because the car’ battery died and we couldn’t get the car to neutral thus we were unable to push the car to the gate😔. When the towing truck left, I called discovery again to explain what happened. The agent I spoke to said that he will call me back after speaking to the towing company, if there was anything else that they can do to help. To my dismay, I received an SMS stating that the request for roadside assistance has been cancelled. 😡 That was on Thursday. The following Friday, which was yesterday 29 November 2024, I called discovery ensure again to request assistance. I explained the situation and that I am requesting assistance for the second. The agent told me that I need to contact the car dealership for their technician to come and get the car to start. I am assuming that the technician should be able to assist with the battery issue at my additional charge 😖 Now my question is, why am I paying for insurance that has roadside assistance if I still have to pay the extra cost for the technician to help with the battery problem.?? So, right there I had a very good mind to cancel my policy with discovery ensure…. The agent agreed to give me the direct contact number of the department that deals with cancellations. I call them and I get through to the first available agent to assist me. The agent hears my story and then tells me that he needs to transfer me to the division that deals with cancellation of new policies. I get transferred as advised and the agent that speaks (could be the supervisor????) to me, tells me that all agents are occupied 🤣🤣🤣 and that it is best that he takes my details and send through an email to notify the agents to call me as soon as they are available and that was the end of my plan to cancel my policy with discovery ensure. I waited all day for the call that never came through 🤷🏽♀️ I am super disappointed with the service I received from the provider…. Very disappointed.
