I recently ordered from Hello Cool Designs South Africa, and while the product was good in the end, the journey to get there was less than ideal. It took nearly three and a half weeks for my order to arrive, which was longer than expected. Adding to the frustration, I received an email stating that my order was packed and on its way, only to receive another email shortly after saying it had been cancelled. When I reached out for clarification, I dealt with a representative named Lorna Sinclair, who provided very abrupt replies. Her response was simply, "I don't know why it said it's on its way when we haven't fulfilled it yet," without offering any further information or assistance. Overall, while the final product met my expectations, the customer service experience and the lengthy lead time left much to be desired.
Extremely poor experience with Decathlon's online store. I ordered a bicycle for my 5-year-old son's birthday and received an order confirmation. Despite this confirmation, they emailed several days later to say the item was out of stock. According to their website terms and conditions, they are supposed to notify customers of stock issues and offer either a refund or an alternative item of equal value—neither of these happened. I had to chase them regarding the missing order, and when they finally processed the refund, it was incomplete and short of what I originally paid. Their customer service has been subpar throughout the entire process, with slow responses and no proactive communication. The worst part was being left without a birthday gift for my child, despite having planned ahead and received confirmation of my order. I would strongly advise against ordering from their website—the stock system appears unreliable, their stated policies aren't followed, and refunds aren't processed correctly. Save yourself the disappointment and shop elsewhere.
