If I could give no stars, I would. I moved out of my previous apartment on 26 January this year. I had been asking for the receipts in regards to repairs done after I moved out up until 1 April. Which they failed to provide me up to this day. Eventually, at the beginning of April, I gave up because I was getting ignored with no response, every time I sent an email I would get no answer and every call I made to the company. I was told that the person I needed to speak to was either on lunch or in a meeting. Eventually beginning of April I gave up and I signed the deposit form and just asked for my money. I was told that I would receive the refund in two weeks by 15 April. It is now two weeks past that date and I cannot get a hold of anyone in the company and I still not have been refunded my money. Considering the fact that I’ve also spoke to the new tenants in the property who has told me that the maintenance has not been done so they have billed me for repairs that have not even been done. But I gave up on that and they cannot even send me half of the money of what I should be getting. This company simply does not give a **** about anyone that they work with. It sounds like everyone in that office sits on their ass and takes lunch the whole day every day. I am always told that I will receive a call back and I never do. They take advantage of people and the fact that people do not have the money to bring on lawyers for everything especially small claims like this. This company should not even be running they should be shut down. They are all useless and I’ve left multiple reviews on here and I’ve never heard back from them after they say that they will contact me.
Thakhani Netshivshongweni - BEWARE!!!! it has been almost 2 months of me, trying to get your receipts of the supposed repairs that had to be done once I moved out of the property. They have failed to provide me with receipts or a proper itemized list of what I need to pay after going back-and-forth for two weeks I got a supposed finalized deposit refund form which had cleaning charged twice. I phoned and one of the cleaning fees was removed. This was a total of R1500 that was a mistake apparently. This is clear negligence and they clearly do not care or try to get things done properly. I’m now going through the housing rental tribunal just to try and get this resolved because they refuse to send me receipts and keep coming up with an excuse every time I ask, I submitted a letter of demand and I was met with attitude and once again negligence. Not only negligence of customer support and care, but also the law.
I have been waiting over 6 weeks to get my deposit back. Initially when I followed up, they wanted to give me R1700 back out of a R8700 deposit. After questioning it, they now want to give me R4700 back. Keep in mind neither the ongoing or outgoing inspection were done correctly which they simply disregard and don’t care about, their agent did not even make an effort to have me sign the outgoing inspection. It takes multiple days for me to get a reply unless I phone in and ask for a manager. They are already pulling an ******* stunt by waiting so long to organize my deposit refund. They also cannot supply any receipts or a breakdown of why they want to me pay over R3000 in “repairs”. Keep in mind, I stayed in this property for 5 months, patched majority of holes with poly filler and had the property cleaned. Today when I emailed asking for a response after being ignored for probably the 10th time, I got a new deposit refund which they were asking me to sign, I did not because I was being charged a cleaning fee twice. After calling in and inquiring about this, they added another R1500 to what they owed me back. They are unprofessional and clearly have no idea what they are doing or charging you for. Thakani is the portfolio manager and I am tired of the back and forth.
