My car was starting and but cutting out so I took my car to Polo. They couldn't even get my car to start. After speaking to Chris he said it was a sensor issue and would cost me R4800. So I said sure go for it. This got my car to turn over but they said it was over fueling and they thought it was the ECU so that needed to be tested. another R4500. Oh he forgot to mention the prices he had been quoting me were Excluding labour and VAT so the actual total was Just shy of R13000 by now but if it wasn't the ECU he would refund me for the cost of the ECU test. The ECU comes back fine now the timing belt is out and the car is running but smoking terribly. (it's never done this before). an oil ring or some such under the engine must have gone. Oops the car stalled and the timing belt jumped. no the cam shaft is sticking. the engine needs to be overhauled. R65000. I decided no I'd rather just fetch it thanks. Told them I would be there on Friday to collect it(This is Wednesday and they've had the car for 6 weeks). Friday comes and it's still in pieces. wheels are off. can't be collected. come back next week. So we say Fine Wednesday 9am we'll be there to collect. the wheels are on but the engine is still in pieces and half of it is in the back seat. The moral of the story. STAY AWAY from Polo Auto Air. they will destroy your car, blame other people and give you back your car in pieces.
