Subject: Urgent Request for a Meeting and Immediate Attention to Multiple Issues 69 Van Riebeck Street ,Glen Austin .Midrand Dear Indlu Living Management Team, I am writing this email to formally express my deep concerns regarding the management and upkeep of the property where I reside. This is a matter of urgency that requires immediate attention and a meeting with the higher management to address multiple grievances. 1. Closure of Facilities Without Notice I was disappointed to see the recent notice regarding the indefinite closure of the swimming pool and surrounding area. Facilities like the pool and clubhouse were a major attraction when I decided to move here, given the isolated location. Shutting them down without prior communication demonstrates a lack of respect for us as paying tenants. In recent months, similar restrictions have been imposed without explanation, including locking the clubhouse. These decisions make it feel as though tenants are being micromanaged and stripped of basic recreational amenities. It would have been appropriate to call a meeting to explain these decisions and seek our input. 2. Lack of Response to Maintenance Issues Several maintenance concerns have been repeatedly raised but remain unresolved: • Electricity Issues: Frequent outages during rainstorms have not been addressed. • Geysers Not Working: Units 7, 8, and 12 have been without hot water for three days. • Leaking Toilets: My toilet has been leaking since January, and despite reporting it, no action has been taken. • Air Conditioning: Units are blowing hot air because they have never been serviced. • Rats and Pest Control: There is a rat infestation in the yard and ceilings, with no pest control measures in place. • Unkempt Yard: The yard is only cleaned occasionally, leading to an unhygienic environment. 3. Insufficient Security Measures Considering the high crime rate in Glen Austin, it is unacceptable that there is no armed response security for the property. This puts all tenants at risk, and yet it does not seem to be a priority for management. 4. Disregard for Tenant Concerns Despite multiple reports and complaints, the management has consistently failed to respond or resolve issues promptly. Decisions like closing amenities are prioritized over basic maintenance and tenant satisfaction. 5. ************** and Lack of Respect It has become apparent that management treats us as if we are in a subsidized facility or less deserving of proper service. Many of us are professionals and businesspeople who pay rent to live in a space that should reflect the standards we were promised. Request for Action I urge you to: 1. Convene an urgent meeting with tenants, including the property owner and higher management, to address our concerns. 2. Reassess and justify the closure of the pool and clubhouse. 3. Immediately attend to the unresolved maintenance issues mentioned above. 4. Implement proper pest control and security measures for the safety and well-being of tenants. 5. Improve communication and transparency in decision-making processes moving forward. Conclusion We are not asking for more than what we were promised when we chose to rent here. It is unacceptable to impose restrictions without providing proper explanations or addressing existing grievances. Please confirm receipt of this email and provide a response outlining the steps you will take to resolve these issues. Failure to address these matters promptly will leave tenants with no choice but to escalate the situation further. Yours sincerely
