I purchased a vehicle through them and was shocked to find that although my shortfall was around R50,000, they added R60,000 to my finance without providing a proper breakdown. R10 000 remains completely unaccounted for despite multiple requests for receipts. The sales rep was consistently unavailable and unresponsive, and after registration, he failed to secure my number plate correctly, posing a risk of it falling off. The entire experience showed a lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic care.
I had a very disappointing experience with Pineapple during a car replacement claim. After my claim was reassigned to Koketso Ramp****, communication completely broke down. She didn’t call, failed to explain the process, and only responded when I followed up multiple times. Important emails sat unread in her inbox, and updated documents were delayed for days. The replacement car I was offered had double the mileage of my original vehicle, was a different colour, and came with a surprise payment of R38,000, none of which was properly communicated. Even after escalation, there was no improvement. I eventually asked for the payout to go directly to the bank, just to get closure despite being eligible for a replacement. I would not recommend Pineapple or Koketso Ramp**** at that, for handling claims. Purely ***********.
