We were welcomed by a huge rat running out of the fish storage area and crossing our path at the entrance. A table right next to the incident was offered, which I refused, and only then were we moved to another table far away. I should have left at that point. The waiter brought our drinks and took the order, then disappeared for 40 minutes. After I asked about the starters, all the food arrived at once, starters and mains together, creating an unpleasant and rushed situation. It’s clear this place is no longer what it used to be. The management has probably changed, and it shows. Still trading on old glory, but clearly in decline. The food was just acceptable, nothing more. What a pity. Goodbye, Freshline Fisheries.
We had lunch today at Kolonaki at Nicolway. The ambience is nice and the service was good—courteous and attentive. Sadly, the food was a complete disappointment. I ordered the grilled sardines. I expected them to be frozen, but the quality was extremely poor. They were overdressed—clearly an attempt to mask the bad taste. Hours later, I’m still trying to shake off the lingering, unpleasant aftertaste. My wife ordered the grilled octopus. It was like chewing on a piece of rubber, charred on a dirty grill. A shame really—the setting and service deserve better food. Definitely not a place we’ll return to.
Suddenly, they shut down overnight! Their website is offline, emails are bouncing back, and the domain now appears parked. It currently redirects to CSSI, another company within the same group, without any explanation regarding the situation at ITworkup. This behavior raises serious concerns about potential *****. I plan to visit them tomorrow to recover my NAS, which I had returned due to a hardware fault discovered shortly after delivery a few weeks ago. However, this sudden closure doesn't look promising at all. I wonder how many other customers risk losing their money, waiting indefinitely for deliveries that may never arrive.
The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, and the staff is friendly—though perhaps too many, leading to a slightly overwhelming service experience. We ordered an antipasti platter for four people, but the dish itself was too large for the small table, making it impractical. Despite its size, the actual quantity of food was minimal, with a generous amount of rucola seemingly added to make it appear more abundant. As an Italian, I know how the dishes I ordered should be made and taste. Unfortunately, what was served was quite far from authentic Italian cuisine. My spaghetti alle vongole was particularly disappointing—the first serving was full of sand, making it inedible. I asked for it to be remade with less chili, hoping for an improved experience. While the second attempt was at least free of sand, the excessive chili still overpowered the delicate flavor of the clams, missing the balance that defines this dish. Considering the overall experience and the relatively high prices, the meal fell short of expectations. The quality of the food did not justify the cost, making it a rather disappointing visit.
