Business Directory ****
I placed an advert with Business Directory in 2024. It cost me R1500 for a year. This year on expiry I was contacted by a lady at Business Directory and she asked if I would like to re new. I said no thank you. She then said okay, they will then take me off their website. A Few weeks later, I was contacted by their collections department and was told that I need to pay a cancellation fee of R1500 to be removed from their advertising site. I said that I will not pay this, as I was never told that there would be a cancellation fee after a year when my 1st year expires. They now keep on harassing me on WhatsApp wit voice messages and several calls. I finally blocked them after I received a message that they red flagged me on Google as a bad payer.

MWEB Service
I have am MWEB Fiber account which have been giving me endless issues. I have a 100 meg line but on average only get about 20 megs out of it. After many attempts to cancel my account I eventually landed wit the retentions department. I explained that I wanted to cancel my account. The lady asked why do I want to cancel and I said because I am paying for an 100 meg line but I only get about 20 megs. She then said that she could reduce my payment with R150 and she would get someone to fix my line. This was done. I recently received a email stating that my account will go up with more than R150 on the first of April. I decided that I will cancel my account because there are cheaper service providers. I have been trying for days on end to get through to the Customer service department to enable me to cancel my account, the line does just ring with no answer. This is the worst company to have a Fiber line with and I do not recommend them.
