I originally posted about Vodacom hiking my monthly payment from R1,380 to R1,790 — a 30% increase after over five years of loyalty. Vodacom rep**** twice, promised a consultant would contact me, and later claimed “your query has been resolved” with reference numbers. That was a lie. Nothing has been resolved. In fact, it’s gotten worse. After numerous calls from Vodacom, my bill has now been increased to R2,028.36 — for no reason. I received a text confirming this new amount. Let me repeat that: January 2026: R1,380 February 2026: R1,790 March 2026: Still billed R1,790 Now: R2,028.36 expected Vodacom closed my case (reference EC-28Y7-27DCCI) while my account is still not resolved . I feel punished for being a loyal customer. Not one person has fixed anything. If you’re thinking of signing with Vodacom — don’t. They will raise your price, ignore your complaints, close your case as “resolved,” and then hit you with an even bigger bill. Zero stars is still too good for them. Avoid at all costs. Still waiting. Still overcharged. Still disappointed.
Vodafone is an absolute disgrace. After more than five years of loyalty, they had the nerve to jack my monthly payment from R1,380 in January to R1,790 in February — a shocking 30% increase overnight. This “price increase” is nothing but a money grab. You end up paying more for a phone that is worth far less, while they smile all the way to the bank. Loyalty clearly means nothing to this company. Do yourself a favour and stay far away. If it were possible, I’d give them zero stars — one star is insulting to anyone with common sense.
Minimum waiting time is 1 hour and they do not have enough staff to assist such a busy shop. Out of about 9 counters only 4 could assit...so sad and frustrating
They take too long to register you I had to register after a 3 weeks through a very long call
