placed an order with a local online retailer / importer, apparently in Cape Town trading as Vitalio. The product was a Hearing Aid manufactured in Hong Kong as per their website. The order was placed on 17Th July 2024 order number #3378 for the amount of, R2151.00 (paid by credit card) and should take about 20 days. However, after a few months I emailed and WhatsApp Vitalio to find out when I would receive the product, they confirmed my ‘order was currently in transit and should arrive soon’. This has been going on since I placed the order. I get fobbed off with the same non-committal WhatsApp messages from Vitalio. The phone number on the website doesn’t work I have had to message them though WhatsApp. I have requested a refund but to no avail. This is now February 2025. I requested a credit card chargeback through Absa bank for being ghosted by this online retailer. Unfortunately Absa Bank is just as useless; they insisted I request a ‘cancellation letter’ from this merchant which is a ridiculous suggestion on the banks part. Absa Bank’s ‘requested information’ as I’m sure they well know, is unobtainable; this was merely to fob me off. I would like to thank Absa Bank for their lack of action with regard to this issue. Don’t order anything from Vitalio Cape Town, they’re a **** company.
