While the prices this moving company offers are certainly affordable, the service we received in 2024 was far from acceptable. From the beginning, we requested clear communication about the exact moving date for our relocation from Cape Town to Durban. We were told the truck would arrive either Sunday or Monday, but despite multiple follow-ups, we only received final confirmation for a Monday collection during our last week in Cape Town - hardly reassuring for such a major move. On the agreed Monday, we received a call informing us they might be late due to multiple other deliveries. We were understanding - delays happen - and told them we were even happy for an after-hours pickup, as long as it happened that day. However, the situation spiralled. They never arrived, citing a broken truck, and we had to scramble to rearrange all our plans to accommodate a Tuesday collection. Making matters worse, someone from their operations team falsely told us they were trying to arrange a smaller truck, which never materialised. When our belongings were finally delivered, several items - including ones clearly marked as FRAGILE - were damaged. We expected the usual scratches and wear that can happen during a move, but the level of carelessness was unacceptable. Our bed base, a solid table base, and a number of other pieces were clearly mishandled, some appearing to have been forced into the truck without regard. Among the damaged and mishandled items: - Microwave door no longer closed properly - Bed base broken (modular open storage - items appear to have been shoved inside or against it) - Bedside cabinet broken (pressure snapped off a piece of wood on the top) - Medium pot plant cracked (either dropped or had something shoved against it). If you choose this company, you might save some money upfront - but you’ll likely pay for it in stress, disrupted plans, extra cleaning costs, and damaged furniture. We won’t be using them again.
