I have been an Outsurance client for more than 15 years and never before have I received such poor service! I have recently added some equipment to my practice to the value of over R500k and policy wording specifies SABS approved surge protector. The problem is that I cannot find an SABS approved device from more than 7 different companies? It would appear that the regulatory authority is actually the SANS? I spoke to the SABS this morning and in fact, they have not approved surge protectors of any kind since 2008! The bank will not finance the equipment until the policy wording is changed and how is it that I cannot email anyone at Outsurance with the RCC/ SANS compliance certificate to make sure that it is acceptable? How can Reyno and Naz confirm telephonically that what I have is acceptable without seeing the device or the paperwork but are unable to provide any written proof for the bank? It appears I need a middle man and will move my insurance elsewhere
