It is ridiculous and ********* how Moove SA conducts their business. So I joined the company on the 07 August 2024,everything was good until I started falling behind on my weekly obligations. At one time my vehicle rear had the rear windshield smashed, I couldn't work for a period of twelve days as per their instruction that I shouldn't use the vehicle until such time that the windshield had been replaced. But guess what they still charged me almost two weeks of worth of my weekly car rental amount which is R2995.00. On the 18th of April 2025 while getting ready to go to work, found that my vehicle would not start. Got hold of the office to report the incident after numerous attempts of jump starting the vehicle yielded no results. The office then advised that I get hold of Roadside Assist to have my vehicle towed to Hyundai Sandton. On Monday the 21st of April 2025 the vehicle was then towed to Hyundai Sandton. The following day on Tuesday the 22nd of April I then get a to inform me that my vehicle had in fact been immobilized and impounded, by now my outstanding balance is R9900. 00. On Wednesday I went to their offices with the fifty percent downtown payment as discussed previously and was then told that once the vehicle had immobilized and impounded, they cannot enter into any payment arrangement and that I to settle the entire outstanding balance, which had by now climbed to a staggering R11620.00 as a result of them charging me a rental fee for a vehicle that was now in their possession. I then wrote them an email on Tuesday the 29th of April, asking them to release my Uber account from their fleet. To which they responded that "they can only remove me once I have settled my R14615.00 outstanding balance", which effectively means they are charging me and will still continue adding the weekly rental of R2995.00 even though the vehicle is now in their possession and has been since the 18th of April 2025. I feel that they should have settled my outstanding balance while it was still R9900.00,using my initial deposit of R10,000 paid towards acquiring the vehicle, which is clearly stated in their contract, which stipulates the return of the deposit on condition that there are no outstanding amounts owed, amongst others. I am very unhappy with their level of service and incompetency and will be taking this further.
