Beware Appliance repair pirates

They were referred by Smeg SA as a third party. When they arrived to inspect our Smeg oven I was immediately suspicious at the speed they worked and no checking to see if an item could be serviced/repaired rather than supply new. They submitted their quote eventually. To replace 2 oven globes R525 Each. I sourced locally same spec globes @ R50 EACH. They quoted to replace oven seal and said door hinges as well as new seal only would not let door close properly. I sourced new seal from Smeg and fitted myself in less than 5 minutes and DOOR CLOSES PERFECTLY. They also quoted to replace a back burner, I took it apart cleaned it and it works fine. They quoted to replace thermostat but it's working fine. We are an NPO with 12 kids and they cook and bake relentlessly. So beware of this company. Add your reply Bold Italic Bullets Numbers
