I hired a vehicle from CK Car Hire for four months, always paid on time, and returned the car in good condition. Despite this, they are now ********ly withholding my deposit and fabricating additional charges after the return of the vehicle. Throughout my rental, I was given multiple vehicles with mechanical issues — three times — and treated with blatant disrespect. The Managing Director, Nadia Viljoen, has shown consistent discriminatory and unprofessional behavior. It is hard not to conclude that the way I was treated was rooted in racial bias. No one — regardless of race — deserves to be exploited or disrespected like this. I urge others, especially Black customers, to think twice before doing business with CK Car Hire. This kind of conduct has no place in South Africa in 2025. I will be taking this further through every legal and consumer protection channel available to me.
