I am writing to formally express deep concern about the ongoing issues faced by customers using e-hailing services at Southgate Mall. The experience has become increasingly frustrating and dangerous. We live in a country where gender-based violence, human trafficking, and kidnappings are rampant. In such a climate, the ability to choose safe and reliable transport should be a basic right. Unfortunately, at Southgate, this right is being denied. Customers are being harassed by members of the Eldorado Park Taxi Association, who aggressively prevent us from using Uber, Bolt, and other e-hailing services. We are often pressured or even forced to use their taxis instead. This is not only unacceptable but deeply concerning for our personal safety and freedom of choice. It is alarming that mall management has delayed taking decisive action on such a critical matter. Allowing this kind of ************ on your premises puts your customers at risk and violates their rights. We are simply asking for the freedom to choose our own mode of transport without fear or harassment. The mall should be a safe space for all, and this situation urgently needs to be addressed. We respectfully request immediate intervention and a clear public response from Southgate Mall management to ensure customer safety and restore our right to choose safe, convenient transport.
Southgate has been giving us the worst experience. We live in a country where GBV, human trafficking and kidnappings are on the rise. At Southgate we can't use ehailing services the way we want. The center management is talking time to resolve a simple matter. They are allowing the eldos Taxi association to Harris customers by forcing them to taking thier cars instead of requesting ubers and bolts. We are forced to get in thier cars and don't want us to use our money the way we want. It is a shame truly speaking because it's seems as though we don't have freedom to choose our free mode of transport and our lives are at risk. We need help.
