I bought my first car — a Suzuki Swift — from MMU Bela Bela in June, 2024. At the time of purchase, I trusted the dealership completely and was assured I was getting a fair and reliable vehicle. No accident history or paint repairs were disclosed to me. A year later, during a trade-in inspection with WeBuyCars, I was shocked to learn that the vehicle had been in an accident and repainted before I bought it. I also later discovered (only when I needed to take it for servicing) that the car had no full service history — another important detail that was never communicated at the time of sale. When I raised these issues with MMU Bela Bela, I was told there was “no proof” that the accident happened before my ownership. For a first-time buyer, this is deeply disappointing and feels like a complete breach of trust. I believe MMU Bela Bela should take accountability for failing to disclose critical information about the vehicle’s history. Transparency and honesty are the foundation of trust in any sale, and customers deserve to know exactly what they are buying. Resolution I am seeking: Acknowledgement that the vehicle was sold with undisclosed accident damage and missing service history. A fair resolution or compensation for the lack of disclosure. #ConsumerRights #ConsumerAwareness
