So ABSA home insurance. I have been with them for 19 years and have only claimed once before for a geyser. About 7 years ago. Initially i was quiet impressed with the efficiency of the staff. Everything was getting processed, i submitted all that was requested and i thought they really have got more proffessional, even phoning over the Christmas break. And.... thats where it ended. So now pushing March and after numerous emails, not a word from them. It seems that, as per usual, coprorates will gladly take your money, but when it comes to paying they will dodge you to the end. Even with a good track record there is no reward. Its days like these that i get reminded why i dont bank with ABSA, you can paint your brand any way you like but your core remains the same. Thats africanacity right there!
These guys are probably the worst tracking company when it comes to service. If you want a tracker and thats it, then go for it! But if you want service, stay well clear of them! Its all fine and well until you need assistance. Firstly their app takes 5 minutes to login into - thats 4:50 seconds too long in an emergency. Secondly. Months of no-communication from them, after weekly requests. 5 months to get any meaningful direction - all the while my car show its still at the fitment centre - another month to find out why its now in a different Province. After arguing the cancellation policy, and that i refused to pay the contract balance as they have given me zero service for 6 months - there was no formal cancellation procedure - just cut off from app. Not that i should complain as i wanted out - but now i was sitting with vehicles with no tracker and had to scramble for appointments. So they are a company that feels very little for the client, their T&C's make sure they take zero responsibility for anything. Happy to take your money - but give little in return.
So would you believe the goods arrived many weeks later - but dont waste your time. The website is deceiving, fronting as bespoke, handmade jewellery. Its all from China - on Temu we have found the items - with highly inflated prices and quality that doesnt match.
Yip, i think we have been duped. Also no response from them. TOTAL ****. I am usually pretty vigilant, so many red flags actually in hindsight.
