Active since Aug 2025
I was a student in 2020 in Cape Town when I fell for the **** of joining the Just Gym in Bellville. I was under the student contract and everything was well until the lockdown happened. Due to the COVID lockdown, I couldn't go to gym and because there was no customers or money coming in, they officially closed down the gym, permanently (without any communication to us, the clients). Later in the year, I started receiving calls from debt collectors (Saya Recoveries) saying that I have and overdue of R1500 for Zone Fitness. They transferred all the clients to a different gym without our consent and therefore resulting in such a bad record on my credit. I have been battling with this since then... later 2025, I met a lady that said she worked at Planet Fitness. She convinced me that they can wipe off the old credit if they opened a new one. Of course I agreed because my credit score was suffering because of that. I have currently decided to cancel my membership because I only did it to assist with building my credit score. I have been paying and it was a debit order. Suddenly when I wanted to cancel, I am supposed to pay R3 644,96 for arrears and the cancelation fee. They have been sucking me dry and this is the worst experience ever with this gym.
I ordered from a Spur branch in Centurion and gave the correct address. The driver showed that he was on his way as the minutes away from my location were decreasing with time. The driver made contact with me while he was on his way as he seemed to be lost, we were in contact all the time. My delivery was delayed for 23 minutes but we kept being in contact. I directed him and he was co-operative. After a while, the delivery was 'completed' but the driver was nowhere to be seen. I was even standing outside of my complex in the main road. The driver dropped my delivery about 2kms away from where I am, my address. I reported this matter and also went to the branch to state my case however they said they couldn't assist since it was a matter with UberEats. I contacted the Customer Support of UberEats, stating my case, however their response was "We reviewed your order again and can confirm that it isn’t eligible for a refund. The delivery partner followed our policy and waited the required amount of time at the delivery address before marking the order as completed." This response does not make any sense as it is evident that the driver left my order 2km away from the requested address even upon making contact and directing the driver as he was lost. There is a picture and location that shows where the driver left my food.
