I was ****med by a website called michelle-smit.com, which presents itself as a local South African store selling “Veluskin” skincare. The homepage shows a woman called “Michelle Smit” and displays a **** Hellopeter review badge with 17,000+ reviews — but it doesn’t link to Hellopeter, just loops back to their own site. I placed an order on 14 August. They claim “Order before 11 PM = shipped tomorrow” but it still hasn’t arrived. Turns out this is just a Temu product being drop-shipped internationally at a massive markup. When I contacted them, they said I can only get a refund after I return the item — which I haven’t even received. Even worse: • Their refund policy still has the placeholder text: [INSERT RETURN ADDRESS] • They refer to EU laws, even though they claim to be based in SA • No business registration, no physical address, and I highly doubt “Michelle Smit” even exists (the photo used is likely a stock image) This site is deceptive, misleading, and violates multiple consumer protection principles. The exact same product Product is R70 on Temu: https://www.temu.com/za/mushroom--air-cushion-bb-cream-flawless-lightweight-full-coverage-long-lasting-moisturizing-concealer-foundation--makeup-g-601099512616847.html?_oak_name_id=7630684399885309242&_oak_mp_inf=EI%2Bvspem1ogBGiAzM2Y2NTIzM2E4Nzk0YjI0OThkNTY4MWNmMzQ2OTAxNiCQpIz7jjM%3D&top_gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.kwcdn.com%2Fproduct%2FFancyalgo%2FVirtualModelMatting%2F425d5800ebeefac3e2935cb90912f2ed.jpg&spec_gallery_id=69&refer_page_sn=10009&refer_source=0&freesia_scene=2&_oak_freesia_scene=2&_oak_rec_ext_1=NzAwMA&_oak_gallery_order=248707401%2C1016621019%2C1151975829%2C522744877%2C1741934884&search_key=velu%20skin%20foundation%20with%20mushroom&refer_page_el_sn=200049&_x_sessn_id=w7m6j4yjm7&refer_page_name=search_result&refer_page_id=10009_1756362904420_vew4hv7kz2 And R589 (on special down from R1180) on their website: https://michelle-smit.com/products/veluskin%E2%84%A2?_pos=1&_sid=3619e4459&_ss=r&variant=55627810537846
