Received an email response from Patricia M. , Customer Care for Delta Airlines Delta Airline re: Case Number 15779832 I am not happy at all with the resolution decision taken on this matter. The $US50 voucher offered as compensation is an insult to both my wife and I - the massive inconvenience caused to us throughout the return journey was entirely Delta’s responsibility. To recap : • When Delta re-booked my wife and I on the alternative flight to Cape Town via Johannesburg (DL200 & SA375), Delta did not book me on the Jhb-CPT domestic flight. I had to pay for this myself and demand a full refund for R4,825 as soon as possible. Please advise when the refund will be effected, let me know how the refund will me made as well. • If the brake pads on DL1810 Aircraft had been properly maintained in the first place, we would have made it for our connecting flight to Cape Town • If the cabin crew on DL2484 had allowed us to disembark first so that we could get across the airport to our international flight, we would have made it to our connecting international flight and avoided all of the subsequent further problems that followed • If Delta hadn’t messed up the booking of my connecting SA375 flight to Cape Town that was I was supposed to have been booked on, I wouldn’t have have to pay R4,825 out of my pocket • My Suitcase went missing and when it eventually arrived in Cape Town, it was badly damaged with a broken combination lock and the handle was destroyed. Please let me know how this will be compensated for as well ?
