It’s basically impossible to get hold of Discovery Health by phone. If someone does answer, you just get transferred to another department that never picks up—back to square one. I’ve requested Discovery (via my bank) to move my debit orders from my company account to my private account, but they simply ignored it (for three months) and instead asked me to handle their admin for this change! That’s not acceptable—I’m a client, not their admin clerk. Honestly, the service has been pathetic. Calls go unanswered, instructions are ignored, and the admin burden gets pushed onto the client. I’ll be closing my company bank account at the end of April, and I suspect they will start calling me. I'll return the favour by treating them like a Discovery client - ignoring their calls and placing them on hold.
From my experience this company is unable to provide reliable internet service. When maintenance is done they send my wife a SMS notification in stead of me. We have asked to please send mail instead of sending SMS, but they refused. No one reads SMS's and therefore we never know when the internet will simply just be cut off without proper notice. When the service is down you simply cannot get anyone on the phone,..its almost impossible. This morning my internet was again simply cutt off twice during the course of the morning,....again with no proper mail notification. I finally managed to get through to an operator after about 9 or 10 times,...and holding on for hours,...just to be told that in the first instance when the internet was cut, the service was only down for 15 minutes,...and this person seemed to indicate that this is good service,.......!! In my opinion and personal experience Atec does not take service delivery or client communication seriousely. If you want internet as a business tool to reliably communicate to clients Atec is certainly not the company for you,...they are not a reliable service provider, and are more suited for home internet that is not critical.
