Very disappointed and dissatisfied when the level of service from Vodacom of late. Unfortunately seems I'm going to find a new service provider. 1st issue need to have my 6 month phone repaired as for some reason it wouldn't fast charge any more. Charges and everything just some fault with the phone after 4 months. Where it would disconnect and connect while charge , wouldn't fast charge on the fast charger any more. So I went to a Vodacom shop where they said it take 3 months to repair at first and I need to come in with my invoice when I got the phone. (Mind you this is a contract phone not pre-paid) . If I want it repaired sooner I need to go to Samsung. What the hell new policy is this never heard of this before and I've sent a contract phone in for repairs before. Some new policy that not even your customer care is aware of. After 2 weeks mange to at least get a copy of the invoice (there pod of me taking the phone from there online service) Last week hand the documents along with the phone in off for repairs it went to the Umhlanga repairs center. Today I get the messages (20/06/2024) that the device has been received and booked in for repairs login to see quote for cost of repairs. Open the link where it gives a contact number to obtain the quote along with a note that says out of warranty repair what the hell... Where the at least 12 months warranty that comes with the phone. Consumer beware Vodacom becoming a big ****mers, poor service. Phones that go faulty after 4 - 6 months they going to want you to pay for the repairs . They going to say it out of warranty. The Vodacom shop that gave the over exaggerated repair time is Vodacom Brookside mall it would seem as if they don't want to do the additional paperwork that's required to send the phone in for repairs. Wasn't going to write this review at first , didn't seem necessary, company changes policy little over how the handle returns/repairs is ok, but to get told that a repair is out of warranty when they have all documents indicating it age only being 6 months is outrages
Extreme pleased with the level of service recived. With this bike tyres shop which is located in pietermaritzburg 19 Halsted Rd, mkondni. Reasonably price. Recently had the misfortune of hitting a pothole and damaging 2 rims,. Having difficulty find a place that would repair it for a reasonable price I evenly came across this place where I was giving a rough quote and time frame for the repairs to be done. Which was kept to the word. The qiving quote was close on the mark and the time frame was quick, quicker that every other place. Well done
Good day Its really disappointing that extreme measure need to be taking in order to at least have things to sort out issuie. Haveing to wright up another complaint as the first one was sorted out. Can no one at vodacom understand the problem. What don't you understand about the complaint. A cancelation call was made in February to have a contract closed in February. Once on the 18 February and again on the 28th. At no stage was it said to me that if can't be done. In the past I had to phone in on the last day to have it canceled. As stated in my previous complaint the contract wasn't closed end of February. I only found out in March when I noticed that the contract was still active. Just to get a message after I had called in again to find out why it wasn't canceled, where the 3ed consultant that I spoke to processed the cancelation, but processed for the end of March. The you want to send a response that the issuie has been resolved that the cancelation request has been processed giving me a refence for such cancelation. Am I missing something here has a contract that was meant to end at the end of February closed and finilazed, now only been closed the end of March. Where now I have to pay more than I initial was paying. Highly disappointed after being a customer for the past approximately 10 years or so. News flash for you if this isn't resolved by the end of today. You've lost one customer. I will no longer be supporting a ompany that cheats customer in paying for things they longer want.
Vodacom repairs takes for ever to have a repair done so far its been 3 weeks since a phone has been given in for repairs from the 13 September. The 3 weeks comprises of the following 1 week to have it asseseed and a quote giving, two weeks waiting for spares and counting as ofbthe time of writing this review the status is still awaiting for spares. The new norm now is the blame on the lockdown that spares aren't available. Don't know how long it takes to get spares, however currently sitting without a phone to use there seems to be no urgency on vodacom repair department nor any care. The repairs department won't even have the dencany to phone or notify a person that currently there no spares available for the phone and they have to order the spares it will take x amount of days /weeks or months. Very poor services. Insurance claim process was quick and simple. If only the repairs department was as quick. Best part is payment was required before work was started even tho there was no spares on hand to do the repairs. Anyone waiting to use vodacom repairs to repair a device be prepared to be at least a month or more without a device. Best thing is no loan devices available. Might be time to reconsider network providers to a more efficient one. One person will tell you no loan devices available. Another will tell you they don't give loan devices for accedental crack screen repairs. Vodacom staff need to be trained on repairs procedures properly.
just a short note to acknowledge the excellent service received from Vanessa who tried to assist where she could with the cancellation of a contract contract line. Who actually tried to assist with the cancellation process, who didn't like the previous consultant that I spoke to divert from the issue at hand and try and sell a person a upgrade, actual listened to the whole issue at hand and tried to resolve the issue. Keep up the good work it employees like you her that make doing business with vodacom an absolute pleasurer.
Highly disappointed vodacom customer need to be very vigilant on when your contract is due to end. Other wise you find yourself in another two year contract that you never took out. All my upgrades I do online due to the convenience of online upgrades. While I was checking when my lines were due for an upgrade as I knew there was one that was due to be upgrade to my horror there was none. Just for me to phone in to find out that a upgrade was done for a sim only deal. Which I would never do. If I had to upgrade I would do so with a device not just a sim.
I canceled my policy on the 13th July with dial direct as no longer had the use for it as item that was insured. Policy officially elapse at the end of this month. Come to the 25/26 I see a debit order going off for a premium. Which means some hadn't canceled the policy properly. Called in yesterday was told that the person that canceled the policy will call. Still waiting for such call. Called today and given a whole different story. Dial direct claims that my premium was paid on the 21st which is clear hogwash as my policy document Cleary stats that premium is only due on the 26th. Dial direct is a money stealing comoany
Good day vodacom next day delivery a complete scam what they don't say in the t and cs is that orders confirmed will be delivered the next day not orders placed and confirmed via sms. Order was placed on a Sunday still waiting for this call which should of happened yesterday order was placed before 12 on Sunday. How long must a person wait for this call.
It's disheartening that one has to resort to extreme messaures just to get things sorted out swiftly. Recently I took out insurance through b-sure africa, accepted the activation fee which in my case was approx R650. No hassle there. Just to be double debited on the activation fee. On calling in can't recall who I spoke to then but was told they did indeed double debit me and I have one of two options I either do I debit order revesal (which will have revesal fees to it bank charges) or they can refund me but I will have to wait days for the refund. I selected the later wait for 40 days for the refund. However the following month yet another debit order goes of yet again. Yet again I call in here I spoke to a Charl Matthyesen. Who requested that I send in a bank statment reflecting these debit orders which I have. Where again I have been informed that I can either revesal two of the debit orders or wait for the 40 days from the initial debit date the Finace department hasn't given him a reason as to why Ive been debited so many times as it was meant to be a once of debit. The issuie now is its been 57 days since the first double debit even if it was only working days its been 40 days today. Still no sign of the refund been processed. This is unethical how do you ever expect clients to refer friends and family to you if this is how you treat new clients. The worst part of this isn't just the double debit it's the third debit going off despite the fact that the firm was made aware that they already over debited me. It's utterly ridiculous that I should be paying two parties for one product every month.
Rip off first time in my life have I ever experienced such bad service from vodacom. In July I phoned in to cancel my contract that was due to end I confirmed that all was done. After looking at my debit orders today I noticed that it seemed a bit high. I the download my emails to llok for the lasted statment from vodacom to see what I have been billed for I then noticed that I've been billed for the contract that should of been closed. So I called in to find out if the contract has been closed and have been told that it hasn't been closed as yet. I defently won't be recommending vodacom to any friends or family any more if this is the service that I will be getting from vodacom. I've been billed for a contract that should of been closed in July it's August and I've paid for something that I haven't used nor wanted to use now it seems I going to have to pay for something that I don't won't anymore again.
