Unprofessional conduct of nursing staff

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour of some of the nursing staff on duty in Ward 18 (Gynaecology) during my current admission. On 21/09/2025 at 20:30, I requested assistance with my drip and other medical needs. Despite repeatedly asking for help for almost three hours, no assistance was provided. Instead, the nurses on duty were sitting and talking amongst themselves. An assistant nurse attempted to assist me but eventually left, advising me to wait for the nurse. I later overheard a conversation where the assistant asked the professional nurse to attend to me, yet the nurse continued to delay and only came at her own convenience. This neglect left me in distress and discomfort, and I felt disregarded as a patient. Such conduct is a disgrace to the ethics and standards expected from healthcare professionals. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated urgently and that appropriate action be taken to address the behaviour of the staff involved. Patients should be treated with dignity, compassion, and prompt care, which I unfortunately did not receive
