This year I bought a ticket to HeyNeighbourfest on the 23rd of April 2025. I bought a ticket because I was excited to see DojaCat perform on the 31st of August 2025 at the Legends Adventure venue. A few months after I purchased my ticket, HeyNeighbourfest announced that they will be moving the Date from August to some time in December. It was very disheartening when they changed the dates because I will not be in the province during that month, meaning I wouldn’t be able to attend the event. I was more then willing to make arrangements to stay during that month and go to the fest but there were talks that Doja Cat will no longer be coming and it was soon confirmed when Doja had released her tour dates for the year since she had released a new album and South Africa wasn’t on that list. I tried to request my refund soon after that by viewing my ticket and requesting a refund (cancellation) but the website had blocked the option to request for a refund. I then started sending multiple emails, sending messages on the Instagram page and also calling the phone number on the website but the email invalid, the calling line was blocked and the messages via instagram had no response back. About a few weeks after that, the refund option had reappeared and then I requested my refund on the 26th of September 2025, expecting my refund by the 10th of October because that was posted on their social media pages and was confirmed via email but I still haven’t received my refund and it’s currently the 22nd of October 2025 and even though they did post a statement saying that they are moving the date to the following year, I had requested my refund way before that (via email & via the website) statement and it it unfair for me not to know when my money will be refunded. Therefore I would like for my money to be refunded to me immediately (within 7 working days) and if not I do plan laying charges with the police & resolving the issue via small claims court.
