In December I was in urgent need of a board cut to exact measurements to fit the base of my bed. After calling many places for a quote, Thinus from the Montague Gardens branch assisted me and, despite it being an extremely busy time for them (no-one else had delivery available), Thinus went above and beyond to arrange for my board to be delivered the very next day. In this day of companies who really don't seem to care for their customers, I was touched by the service and care I received. Thank you so much!
Since Discovery became a bank, service levels on the medical aid side have declined drastically. Despite paying my outstanding instalments six days ago and being advised that reinstatement would take 2–3 working days, my membership remains unresolved. When I contacted the call centre, the consultant refused to provide their surname. Previously, clients could deal with a dedicated service consultant; now one is forced to rely on an unaccountable call centre system. Being told the matter would be “escalated” and that I would receive a call back was entirely meaningless — no call was received. This level of service is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed in Discovery Health
