Request for Removal of Incorrect Credit Listing – Returned Device Within Cooling-Off Period
Good Day, I am writing to formally dispute the account that has been reported on my credit profile. The device linked to this account was returned within the required 7-day cooling-off period after my employment contract was cancelled and I could no longer afford the agreement due to the high interest. The device was returned to the sales consultant in good condition and without any damage. Based on your company’s policy, a contract cancelled within seven days should not be billed or sent to collections. It is therefore unclear on what basis this account was handed over to debt collectors and listed on my credit record. I no longer have the device, and I cannot be held liable for a contract that was cancelled and reversed within the permitted timeframe. I kindly request that this account be removed from my credit report with immediate effect and that written confirmation be provided once this has been done.
