I bought a brand new FAW truck in November 2025, I started working with the truck on the 7th of November 2025, this truck has got a 3 year warranty. For the first year the warranty is bumper to bumper on this truck In December 2025 that's when I started experiencing problems with the truck, the first problem, the truck had a worn out tire which forced me to buy a new tire, of which the date was the 18th of December 2025, before I purchased the new tire I first reported the problem to the salesman that helped me when I bought the truck back in November 2025 of which he proved to not be helpful. On the 29th of December 2025 the truck was due for its first service at FAW (TST) in Port Elizabeth, when taking the truck to its service I noticed that there was a tire that looked worn out of which that was shock to me as this was a recently purchased brand new truck, I once again reported to the same salesman who was not to able to be of assistance the last time I came with a problem about the truck and he once again told me that there is nothing he can do to help. When i got to the dealership (FAW TST) I reported this matter to the service advisor and the gentleman helping promised to have a look at the problem, on collection of the truck the service advisor who promised to help told me as follows: 1. They had a look at the wheel alignment of the truck and he said there's nothing wrong 2. He told me that most of the FAW trucks normally have a problem with the tires that come directly from its factory 3. He told me that the 5th wheel is also worn out. I then decided to speak to FAW after sales department, I called them and told them about all the problems I have been experiencing with the truck, they further on asked me to write them an email specifying the problems I've been experiencing with the truck of which I did, and their response was that based on their findings the tires and 5th wheel concerns were confirmed as "maintenance related failures" and do not qualify for warranty. Now my question to them is "why are we at the point of talking about maintenance issues on a brand new truck which is only 2 months old" and "how have they come to the conclusion/findings that the problem is maintenance issues when they themselves have not taken the truck and have a proper inspection of it". I am really not happy with their so-called findings and I need assistance because I cannot buy a brand new truck in November 2025 and find myself having to spend money on the brand new truck in December 2025 in regards to maintenance issues, the other thing now as we speak the truck has a leaking air pipe in the front of the truck of which again this a brand new truck. I really do need assistance in dealing with this matter.
