I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of assistance I have received from my institution regarding a serious issue with my student account and registration. When I registered for the Bachelor of Computer Science programme in 2025, I submitted my bursary documentation confirming that my bursary provides R45,000 per year in funding. Despite submitting all the required documentation, I was incorrectly registered as a retail student instead of a bursary-funded student. Because of this administrative error, my student portal was repeatedly suspended throughout the year due to outstanding balances that should have been handled under the bursary arrangement. These suspensions occurred during critical academic periods, including examinations, placing my academic progress and bursary funding at serious risk. I have sent multiple follow-up emails (currently on my fifth follow-up), made several calls, and even spoke directly with one of the managers responsible for the BSc Computer Science programme. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved and my student portal has remained suspended since last year. For transparency, these are the figures currently on my account that I have repeatedly asked the institution to explain: • I am registered as a bursary-funded student. • My 2025 tuition quote amounted to R85,100.00. • A total payment of R90,000.00 has been made and allocated to my student account. • Despite this, my account reflects an additional outstanding balance of R15,205.89. Based on these figures, the payments made already exceed the quoted tuition amount. I have formally requested a detailed reconciliation explaining: The origin and calculation of the R15,205.89 balance. Any additional fees or charges app**** beyond the quoted tuition. A full statement of account reflecting all debits, credits, interest charges, and allocations. Confirmation of whether any interest was app**** and on what basis. I even tried to be proactive by requesting to make a payment arrangement for my 2026 fees so that I could proceed with my second year while the matter is being resolved. Unfortunately, I have still not received proper clarification or assistance. What is even more concerning is that I was warned that if I post about this issue on social media platforms or HelloPeter, I could be expelled from the institution. As a student who has been trying for months to resolve this matter through the proper internal channels, this was extremely discouraging to hear. This situation is now putting my academic future at risk. My bursary funding is conditional on my academic progression. If I cannot proceed with my second year this year because of unresolved administrative issues, I may lose my bursary and be forced to repay the funding already used for my studies — which would be financially devastating. At this point, the prolonged delays and lack of clarity have even forced me to consider transferring to another institution simply to protect my academic progress and bursary funding. All I am asking for is a transparent reconciliation of my account, correction of my bursary status, and reinstatement of my student portal so that I can continue my studies without further disruption. I sincerely hope this matter can finally receive the urgent attention it deserves.
I am extremely concerned and disappointed with how my student account matter has been handled. I was supposed to begin my second-year first semester this past Monday, but I am currently unable to proceed because my student account remains suspended. This situation is not due to any failure on my side, but rather due to an administrative error during my registration. When I registered for my Bachelor of Computer Science programme for 2025, I submitted all required bursary documentation confirming funding of R45,000 per year. I was assured that everything had been processed correctly and that I was registered as a bursary-funded student. However, I later discovered that I had been incorrectly registered as a retail student instead of a bursary student. Because of this error: • My account was repeatedly suspended throughout the year. • Suspensions happened during critical academic periods, including exams. • Interest was charged to my account incorrectly. • My portal has remained suspended since last year. Despite these challenges, I still managed to write and pass my exams. Now, I am unable to continue with my second year because my portal access is still blocked. This situation is extremely serious because my bursary funding is conditional on me continuing with my studies. If I cannot continue, I risk losing my bursary completely, which will affect my future and my ability to complete my qualification. I have already formally contacted the institution requesting: • Correction of my registration status to bursary-funded student. • Reversal of incorrect interest charges. • An affordable payment arrangement where needed. • Immediate reinstatement of my student portal. I submitted all required documentation on time and acted in good faith based on the assurances given to me. I am simply asking for this administrative error to be corrected so I can continue my studies. I urgently need this matter resolved.
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding the ongoing refusal to release my academic results/transcript due to an outstanding balance, and the serious consequences this has had on my ability to continue my studies. I am currently a registered student at Regenesys Business School. I acknowledge that my account reflects an outstanding balance of R59,615.98. However, this balance exists precisely because my bursary funding depends on the submission of my academic results and proof of progression. On receipt of my request for my academic transcript, I was informed that the institution is unable to release my results due to the outstanding balance, in line with institutional policy. I was advised that my bursary office should contact the institution directly to obtain my results. Unfortunately, this is not possible, as my bursary agreement is strictly between myself and the institution. The bursary team does not communicate directly with institutions under any circumstances. As a result: I am unable to submit my required progress report to my bursary. My bursary funding is at risk of immediate termination. Without bursary funding, I will be unable to settle the outstanding balance. This creates a cycle where withholding my results directly prevents payment of the outstanding fees. Despite repeatedly explaining this situation to the institution, no reasonable alternative solution has been offered. I am not refusing to pay my fees; rather, I am actively trying to secure bursary funding to do so. Withholding academic results in this context is not only unreasonable, but it places my academic future at serious risk. I am requesting that Regenesys Business School: Release my academic results or official progress report to me for bursary submission purposes / Enter into a temporary arrangement that allows access to results strictly for funding purposes. I am fully willing to engage in a structured payment plan once bursary funds are released. My intention has always been to resolve the outstanding balance and continue my studies in good standing. I am submitting this complaint in good faith and hope it can be resolved amicably and urgently, as delays may result in irreversible academic and financial consequences.
