I visited Metro Home Centre Menlyn Appliances to purchase a Siemens iQ500 front-loader washing machine in dark grey. I explained that I urgently needed the machine and requested same-day delivery (Saturday). Reddy initially told me it was too late for delivery. While I was trying to arrange my own transport, another sales consultant spoke to Reddy, after which he confirmed that the machine could be delivered before 2pm. The machine was delivered as promised. Unfortunately, I was not at home at the time and requested that security receive it and that it be left at my door. Later that evening, while installing the machine, I noticed visible and disturbing scratches on the front display and around the washer door. I contacted the store on Sunday and was informed that Reddy would only be available on Monday. When I contacted him this morning, I was transferred between multiple departments without any assistance. I was eventually told that the machine had been checked during delivery and was in good condition. I explained the damage to Reddy and stated that I would return the machine for a refund if it could not be replaced. He then informed me that I would not receive my money back. I had previously experienced poor customer service at this same store when shopping for a fridge, but I did not expect to encounter the same issues again. Unfortunately, the service remains appalling. Due to product scarcity, I had no choice but to return to this store, which I now regret. I would not recommend this store or its customer service to anyone. I am essentially being told to live with a damaged product because they claim it left the store in good condition.
