The person that I dealt with spoke down to me. I am dyslexic and was 'slow' to comprehend the calculations. This made me anxious and I made an honest mistake to hand in an item that I was going to keep if I got my 'price' that I needed. In the state of my confusion and feeling anxious, I handed in an item that I inherited from my Mother - I asked to please reverse the sale of that item and I was given the standard answer - no can do. This is not my first dealings with this company, and the service has always been recommendable, but not this time.
I purchased FOUR in-house branded tyres from LOMBARD Tyres, on a Black Friday special 2023. The tires started disintegrating after a couple of months after purchasing the 'in-house' brand, KHUMO Spoke to branch manager at Randburg branch where the installation was done. He 'measured' the wear and tear at the time of complaint and submitted the information to the Sales Manager. The feedback provided from the Sales Manager - Pay R1000 per tyre (for thread used up to that date of complaint) and they will replace all four tyres. I escalated the complaint to the Sales Manager for review. This is unacceptable - the disintegration is not because of my doing, and the Sales manager at Lombard Tyres admitted this, HOWEVER - the feedback from the Chinese manufacturer is - it is not a manufacturer's fault - it is 'normal' wear and tear !!!!! There are literally gaps where pieces of rubber was falling out in chunks. The Sales manager promised to call me back after 'Black Friday' rush 2025 - but DOLOLO . . . . It is 2026 now and NO REPLY.
