I kept my belongings(furniture and clothes)at storage king.I sent them two emails stating that I am moving at the end of January and they ignored my message and just sent an email saying that I must make sure that my account is fully paid.Upon checking the ledger I noticed that there are charges of late payment and failed debit ordersI contacted their finance department and I was informed that I paid late and the debit orders bounces.I then asked them what are the payment types that are stipulated in my contract and they said that it is either a debit order or an EFT payment.Their debit orders go off on the 25th of each month and I get paid on the 28th.I would do an EFT payment and then send proof of payment to to one of the finance guys. I was shocked and appalled when I saw that I now owe these amounts and I was informed that it was because I cancelled a debit from my account.My question was to them why would they debit when I have already paid?They answered by saying that they hadn’t seen payment.I send proof of payment every month,why don’t they reconcile their accounts effectively?They mentioned that I paid late in December and then I sent them the POP again which showed that I paid on the first and the 30th of December 2025,yet there is a late payment fee for December.I am tired of going back and forth with them I just want my belongings.IlWhen I took my belongings to be stored by them I stayed at a place that had furniture so I didn’t have to have furniture or electronics at the time.Now I am without a fridge and microwave which a not a luxury but a need.I have medication that needs to be stored in a fridge but I have been forced to go without a fridge.I had to move from PTA and Leave my things behind and just move with the ones that I had at the time.Going back and forth is costly and time consuming.I hope this matter gets sorted out as I am emotionally exhausted.Why does one company have so many bad reviews?
