Title: Yellow Sub Trading refusing refund for defective item – only offering store voucher I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Yellow Sub Trading. On 22 February I placed an online order to the value of R739. Unfortunately several issues occurred with the items received. • The sunglasses delivered were not the colour that I ordered. • The handbag that I purchased broke shortly after use as the glue holding it together came loose. • The jumpsuit that I ordered was returned as the material quality was extremely poor. Despite these issues, I have been informed that I will only receive a store voucher instead of a refund. I do not wish to receive a voucher as I no longer wish to purchase from this store. According to the Consumer Protection Act, goods supp**** must be durable, of good quality and fit for their intended purpose. If goods fail within six months due to a defect, the consumer is entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. A handbag that breaks shortly after first use clearly indicates poor quality and should be refunded or replaced rather than forcing the customer to accept store credit. I would like this matter resolved fairly and request a refund for the defective handbag and the returned item. I hope Yellow Sub Trading will respond promptly and resolve this issue without the need for escalation to the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
