I am extremely frustrated with the handling of my VW Polo under my insurance policy with Santam. The vehicle was submitted for repairs in November 2025, and after several follow-ups, I was informed it was finally ready for collection on 3 March 2026. I settled the R5 500 excess and went to collect the car. However, immediately upon collection, the vehicle failed and had to be returned to the workshop. Since then, I have received no substantive updates. It is particularly concerning that CK Coachworks has submitted an invoice to Santam, yet I, the insured party, have received no clear information or timelines. I have escalated this matter to Primrose Mpe and Robert de Grill at Santam, both of whom have failed to respond. Being without my car since November 2025 has caused significant inconvenience and ongoing costs for e-hailing services. Despite multiple calls and emails, there is still no definitive timeline for when my vehicle will be returned in proper working order. I request urgent intervention from Santam, including: A clear and definitive timeline for the completion of repairs. Confirmation that my vehicle will be returned in proper working order without further delay. This situation is highly prejudicial to me, and I expect immediate action.

After several follow-ups, I was advised it was ready for collection on 3 March 2026. I attended to collect the vehicle and settled the excess of R5 500. Despite this, the vehicle immediately failed upon collection and had to be returned to the workshop. I have received no substantive updates regarding the repairs, despite multiple emails and calls. Additionally, CK Coachworks has submitted an invoice to my insurer, Santam, even though they have not provided me with a clear update or resolution. I have been without my vehicle since November 2025 and am incurring ongoing costs for alternative transport. Service provider Lucian indicated that her manager would contact VW agents with updates and quotes, but no update has been received. I have been patient, but the continued lack of response is unacceptable.
