Re: Unfair treatment of Mr D drivers We're writing to express our frustration and concern about the treatment of drivers under the Morningside branch in Durban. As independent contractors, we feel we're being controlled like babies, with unrealistic expectations and little support. Specifically: - We're forced to accept orders up to 11kms away for R27.50, which doesn't cover our costs - We're charged for rejected orders outside our radius, which is unfair - shouldn't we control our own service areas? - Our vehicles are being abused with excessive wear and tear; we're paying installments, insurance, and maintenance - you're not covering these - We receive suspension letters for declining orders that are too far, limiting our earning potential - Allegations of *******ion for shift allocations are rampant - Delayed order charges are unfair - we're not the only ones on the road - Penalties for "damages" or issues with our cars are excessive, considering we cover all expenses - We're being charged for 3rd party cover when our insurance already includes it We're struggling to make ends meet with the deductions and fees.
