I went to Coricraft Brooklyn on Saturday, 7 March, as I urgently needed a recliner chair. I had a shoulder operation scheduled for Tuesday, 10 March, and from my previous shoulder surgery I knew how painful and uncomfortable the recovery could be—especially at night, as sleeping flat in a bed was extremely difficult. A recliner chair would have made the recovery far more manageable. Unfortunately, the experience at the Brooklyn branch was disappointing. The sales assistant was very unhelpful and indicated that there was no stock available anywhere in the country, and that new stock would only arrive at the end of March. When I asked whether it would be possible to purchase the showroom model due to the urgency of my situation, I was told that this was not allowed. On Sunday, 8 March, I decided to try the Coricraft Menlyn branch instead—and it turned out to be the best decision. The sales consultant, Tina Masebe, was extremely helpful and immediately focused on finding a solution rather than seeing obstacles. She located stock in Cape Town and suggested that I use the showroom model temporarily while waiting for the unit to arrive. She then involved the store manager, Thabo Ramatladi, who shared the same solution-driven attitude. Thanks to their efforts, the recliner was delivered and installed at my home by Wednesday, just in time for my return from surgery the following day. Both Tina and Thabo went above and beyond, and in my view they truly deserve recognition as Employee and Manager of the Month. Their proactive attitude and willingness to make things happen—rather than waiting for things to happen—made all the difference. I am a very satisfied customer thanks to the outstanding service I received at Coricraft Menlyn.
