A Telkom cell phone contract was *****ulently opened in my name in October 2025 ( I am a Telkom pay as you go client) and after much up and down, police affidavits , numerous visits to Telkom shops and endless phone calls to the call centre and the ***** department reversing of incorrect debit orders (for which I was charged of course) it was finally resolved and declared as *****ulent. Much to my surprise in November 2025 another contract (this time a data/router service) was *****ulently opened in my name again. How this was done again stunned me as the previous *****ulent case was still on Telkom's CRM system as *****. Surely someone at Telkom should have taken a look at this and used common sense and queried it? Needless to say it has been up and down, call centre calls , a visit to Telkom head office in Pretoria by myself after months of frustration and no resolution to the problem. It is now March 2026 and I am still struggling with debit orders being deducted from my bank account for the *****ulent data contract. Nobody ever gets back to you , you are treated like an irritation and the problem is still not sorted out. As a side note when I drove all the way to Pretoria out of pure frustration to talk to a human being and not a call centre I wasn't allowed access to the premises and ended up talking to someone at the Telkom call centre on the security guard's cell phone outside the entrance. It is actually an absolute disgrace the way I have been treated. The money it has cost me in time and petrol and reversing of debit orders etc is ridiculous. And still I have a query for a R1500 "penalty" for "my data account" which I haven't paid.. I am at a total loss as I am now on my way to a Telkom shop for the umpteenth time to sort this out ..
