Extremely Disappointed in STADIO’s Lack of Support for Distance Learners
I am extremely disappointed with the lack of support provided by STADIO Higher Education for distance learning students. As a distance learner, it feels like we are expected to manage everything completely on our own with little to no meaningful assistance from lecturers or student support services. I am currently dealing with a serious medical condition affecting my writing hand, which has made studying and preparing for exams extremely difficult. Despite reaching out for assistance and guidance, there has been little empathy, urgency, or practical support offered regarding my situation. It is incredibly frustrating to feel ignored when you are genuinely struggling with a medical issue that directly affects your ability to complete assessments and exams. The academic support is also deeply disappointing. Many lecturers provide unclear guidance, and the exam guidelines often do not match the actual study material or content in the modules. Students are left confused, stressed, and anxious because the expectations are inconsistent and poorly communicated. Instead of receiving proper academic support, we spend more time trying to figure out what is actually required from us. Distance learning students pay substantial fees and deserve proper communication, accurate guidance, accessible support, and understanding when serious medical issues arise. Right now, it honestly feels like students are treated as numbers rather than people. They are playing with our futures and setting us up to fail. I expected much better from an institution that claims to support flexible and accessible higher education.
